本展以因「臺灣國際蘭展」而生的角色「蘭獸(Orchidsaur)」為核心，結合真實蘭花植栽與跨媒材藝術作品，構 築一座穿梭於科學想像與生態寓言之間的虛實場域。 蘭獸「Orchidsaur」由「Orchid」與「Dinosaur」兩字融合而成，象徵蘭花跨越億萬年演化的生命韌性。其新芽般 的角、八足形態與介於植物與動物之間的身體結構，延伸出一種未來生物學的想像。
陳普的創作根源於十餘年的手繪圖像系統，並進一步透過 2D 與 3D 動畫、AR 擴增實境、裝置藝術等媒介，讓作品 在平面與立體、虛擬與真實之間自由縫合，形成一種流動的藝術生態系。 他的創作始終維持著高度的視覺識別性，這份識別度來自長期建構的世界觀與視覺語言系統，無論是線條的結構方 式、形態的組構邏輯，皆如同一套自成體系的模型與規則，正因為有完整的世界觀與脈絡支撐，使每個誕生的生物 皆帶有創作者的痕跡與一致性，並在不同媒介中持續演化與擴張。
Realm of Symbiosis - Orchidsaur and Orchid
The exhibition centers on Orchidsaur, a character created in response to the Taiwan International Orchid Show, presented alongside living orchid plants and cross-media artworks. Together, they construct an immersive environment that moves between scientific imagination and ecological allegory, bridging the virtual and the physical.
The name “Orchidsaur” combines “orchid” and “dinosaur,” symbolizing the evolutionary resilience of orchids across hundreds of millions of years. With sprouting horn-like forms, an eight-legged structure, and a hybrid body situated between plant and animal, Orchidsaur extends into a speculative vision of future biology—an imagined lifeform that reinterprets evolution through artistic fiction.
Chen Pu’s artistic practice originates from over a decade of developing a hand-drawn visual system, which has gradually expanded into 2D and 3D animation, augmented reality (AR), and installation art. Through these diverse media, his works move fluidly between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, the virtual and the physical, creating a dynamic and evolving artistic ecosystem.
His practice consistently maintains a strong visual identity, rooted in a carefully constructed worldview and a cohesive visual language system. From the structural logic of his lines to the compositional framework of his forms, his works operate like a self-contained model governed by its own internal rules. Supported by a fully developed narrative and conceptual framework, each lifeform he creates carries a distinct authorial imprint and inherent consistency, continuing to evolve and expand across different media and dimensions.
